This 1 – day class gives the attendee an in-depth view of identifying and assessing wood substrate materials, preparation and installation methods over them. Students will learn how to test for flatness, address floors that don’t meet NWFA or manufacturer tolerances, assessing and addressing high spots, low spots and unstable subflooring systems, as well as how this all affects the wood floor. Use of moisture meters to assess moisture content and what you need to know when dealing with wood subfloors as related to wood floor installation. You will have an opportunity to work with the top subject matter experts, moisture meter manufacturers and many of the moisture meters and tools used to prepare and asses the substrate prior to installation. We will also discuss some of the common moisture related claims. Receive one continuing certification unit upon completion.
